Briscoe R. Cain III
Briscoe Cain is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is licensed to practice law in all Texas courts. Briscoe has a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law and a Bachelors degree in Communication.
Briscoe spent more than five years before attending law school at the prominent criminal defense firm of Schnieder & McKinney; which was recently ranked by U.S. News as the only Tier 1 Houston Criminal Defense Law Firm ranked in all three defense categories.
While earning his Doctorate of Jurisprudence, Briscoe worked for the famed jurist Judge Paul Pressler, a co-founder and board member of the Liberty Institute, where he was immersed in the world of Religious Liberty law and social policy litigation. As a student of law Briscoe distinguished himself by becoming one of only two certified mediators of his class before graduating, founding the first pro-life law student organization in Texas, serving as the President of the Federalist Society, and working on legislation such as the Merry Christmas Bill.
Briscoe Cain’s practice focuses on Family Law, Wills and Probate Law, Religious Liberty Law, and Criminal Law. Briscoe is committed to the firm belief that the family is the fundamental building block of society. Strong families and religious liberty lead to strong communities.
Briscoe resides in Deer Park, Texas with his wife Bergundi and his two children, with their third on the way. Briscoe serves as a tenor in his church choir, board member of Life Advocates Inc., Texas Legal Counsel for Operation Rescue, and as General Counsel for Harris County Republican Senate District 11. Briscoe enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.
